Annual Canned Food Drive
November 1, 2022 | By Sean Bartram
ADM Rolloff is known for helping people in need. We participate in an annual canned food drive each November. We ask that our customers, community members, and employees donate canned food items and other non-perishables. This canned food drive started internally several years ago, with our employees regularly bringing in items throughout the month as a service opportunity. Soon enough, we had customers who wanted to join in on the fun. Throughout the month, we continually remind everyone to pitch in to donate at the transfer station. Our customers and staff are very dedicated and happy to provide these items because they know that their efforts are going towards a cause that will help our community.
These items don’t necessarily need to be canned but can also be non-perishable, such as pasta, sauces, or foods that come in jars and packs. Soups, peanut butter, vegetables, and fruits are also acceptable, as long as they come in a sealed container and are unopened. We want to help those who are struggling to provide meals for themselves and their families. With Thanksgiving coming up, we want people to have a meal, enjoy some time with loved ones, and not worry about where their next meal is coming from. Once we have all our items and are ready to donate, we take them to a dropoff site for charity. To remind you, please bring any of your canned food items and non-perishables that you can spare to us, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drop them off at the window of our transfer station in November.
